The harsh Skeleton Coast is mirrored internally by Etosha, meaning ‘Great White Place’, it is dominated by a massive mineral pan and home to many species including; elephant, giraffe, rhino and lions. More fortunate visitors will see leopard and cheetah.
No place is more impressive than The Namib-Naukluft Park. The Park occupies a vast region including Sossusvlei, Sesriem, the Welwitschia Trail, Sandwich Harbour, the Naukluft Mountains and the Kuiseb Canyon. Beyond the desert in the south lies The Fish River Canyon which carves the rugged mountains of the Naukluft.
