Upon arrival at Mahe Island, you will board your helicopter for the 20-minute flight to North Island.
Uninhabited for 30 years, the 500-acre North Island is now home to a beautiful eco-tourism property with 11 villas, a health spa, gym, and a spectacular central pool hewn out of the rock. Another idyllic nature retreat, the aim here is to turn back the environmental clock 200 years by slowly reintroducing endangered local species. The ultimate in barefoot luxury, North Island will have huge appeal for anyone interested in flora and fauna.
Villas are simply done in thatch, wood and local stone, and each has a kitchen (so you can dine chez vous or in the main dining room) additional study/bedroom, plunge pool, sundeck, and butler service - as well as DVD, DC and internet access for children who are more into technology than ecology.Uninhabited for 30 years, the 500-acre North Island is now home to a beautiful eco-tourism property with 11 villas, a health spa, gym, and a spectacular central pool hewn out of the rock.
